New Features in APT Assistant Version 2 Windows XP/ Windows 2000 Compatibility: Version 2 has been upgraded to suit the newer Windows operating systems. As well as Windows 2000 and XP, the program will still operate with Windows 98. File-Click Feature: With this feature you can simply double-click on any APT chart and the chart will open on your screen. This means that if you receive an APT Chart file in an email, you just double click on the filename and hey-presto the chart opens before your eyes. Likewise you can use Windows Explorer or Search to find chart files ― then simply click and view. (In version 1 software you have to launch the APT program, then open the desired Chart File with the APT program.) Automatic Style Feature: This feature enable you to take an un-interesting black and white APT Chart and instantly transform it into a coloured and well formatted presentation. Four example styles are supplied and you can add you own styles, Quick load Feature: When you click on the "Charts" pull down menu, the last five files that you have worked on are listed. One click will load any of the recently used files. Print Landscape by default: In version 2 when you print, the chart is printed in the "landscape" (horizontal) format by default. If require, charts can still be printed in the "portrait" (vertical) mode using the print > preferences options. Coloured Backgrounds Feature: In version 1 you could only have charts with white background. With Version 2 you can choose any background colour that is supported by Windows. Click here for a before and after example Improved Save Chart Feature: In version 1 the program prompted to be saved even if no changes had been made. Version 2 only prompts to be saved if changes have been made. Electronic delivery: Version 2 has been designed for 'electronic delivery'. This means that this upgrade and subsequent upgrades can be downloaded from our web server or sent to you as an email attachment. Thanks to code improvements and compression techniques, the new zipped install file is under 500K. Version 1 Compatibility: Any APT Charts that have been created on version 1 software can be loaded in version 2. When saved, the old files are given new "version 2" file names .b2a (basic), v2a (vision chart), p2a (plan chart).
